Burnt River

Kinmount is located on the Burnt River. Recreational uses include canoeing, kayaking, fishing, swimming.

Victoria Rail Trail

Open year-round to the public for recreational uses including walking, hiking, cycling, bird watching, horseback riding, dog sledding, snow shoeing, cross-country skiing and snowmobiling. There are access points at the old railway station and Austin Saw Mill Heritage Park in Kinmount. This trail runs from Lindsay to Kinmount to Haliburton.

Somerville Tract

This large 3,420 hectare section of the Victoria County Forest offers three trail loops totaling 8.5 km in length. This trail passes through a picturesque combination of pine plantations, wetlands, hardwood forests and rock outcrops. Located 5.6 km west of Kinmount on County Road 45 the tract is ideal for hiking, mountain biking & cross country skiing.
